to ombre or not to ombre

When I would color my hair blonde, I would go absolutely crazy when it reached the regrowth phase. Dark roots and bleached ends always grossed me out. But then it became popular with the ombre look and I think it's slowly starting to grow on me. I still can't wrap my head around extremely dark roots & bangs. I don't think I want to go back to blonde either. But if I can ever get my hair to grow out, I am looking to these ladies for inspiration {particularly Rachel Bilson. I love her, don't you?}.

How about some ombre nails, too? Why the heck not?
