day 90

Not only is it the last day of January, but today was the 90th day of school for us. This year is just FLYING by and it just technically started. Here is January in review:

Cinnamon toast is oh so very scrumptious.

A wall of positive reinforcment? I'm loving it!

One of my kiddos has a dream.

These are not only adorable {hello? bows?} but they are also very comfy.

I joined a bowling league. I stink.

A Valentine's Day gift from one of my students who moved, but said I needed chocolate money.

Liam organizing the cards for this game

A hockey game where I froze my sweet little toes, but got some chicken nuggets.

Kyleigh staging Igby to sing along with her & Dora the Explorer.

Chicken ranch macaroni & cheese? Why, yes I will.

Is anyone else as excited as I am about the new Ringer tonight? I'm more excited than Jessie Spano.

Happy List Monday 2012

I made the mistake of attempting to mess with my blog baby's HTML without backing up the code. Let's just say it wasn't my finest hour. Lesson learned. Until I get everything on the blog back to where it was, this will have to do. On an exciting note, I have threaded comments now! I'm loving being able to respond to people's comments. I'm twirling in glittering happiness as we speak.

21.      putting glitter on anything and everything. How has it taken me so long to write this?!

22.      waking up to an impeccably cleaned apartment.
23.      playing {and winning} a new board game. I'm loving Ticket to Ride.

and the winner is...

Every day I make up a new resolution for myself. Yesterday's resolution came to me after an enlightening moment when I opened my gmail inbox. Holy moly do I get a lot of emails for contests & giveaways. Seeing as how I am a big non-winner {it's completely different than loser. Look it up.} I never even bother entering these things. I have decided to enter every contest & giveaway that I come across. 1 week's stay at Disney? Sure, I'll give it a shot. Lifetime supply of potato chips? Why the heck not? Increasing the size of my- wait a minute! That's not a giveaway at all...

Don't get me wrong, I don't think most of these are much more than a ploy to get my email address on other mailing lists. As a girl who receives multiple copies of the Anthropologie catalog and emails from Parenting magazine {crafts & recipes, friends}, I'm not one to complain about junk mail. I figure if I think positively and enter 47 bajillion contests I'm bound to get a $25 amazon gift card or something, right?

Speaking of gift cards- I do believe it is time to start spending the few I got for Christmas. The dollar section at Target had better watch out. I've got some dollar dollar bills, yo and I'm ready for sweet VDay goodies.

Ooh, P.S. I am going to be posting a giveaway soon on the blog. I'm so excited!

Excuses, Excuses

I was so excited to see the newest challenge on Everybody, Everywear. Black & white? I can definitely do that! I had my outfit all planned out {complete with black, glittering shorts} when I realized,
"Hold up, home skillet! I have the day off."
That's not to say I just sat around in sweats all day watching United States of Tara. I woke up early{ish}, donned a pair of comfy jeans & a sweater then headed off to vote for the NH primary. The road was so crowded, which was nice to see. After that, I headed to work to get some much needed things done in my classroom. It's amazing how much more you can accomplish when you're in a dusty classroom while wearing jeans.

I also didn't have anyone to take my picture while I stood outside in the cold to get a good outfit shot. My next purchase will be a tripod, for sure. Then I'll replace my tiny sewing machine with one that can sew up material thicker than a cotton pillowcase. Oh! I also didn't want to mess with my hair because it's doing this incredible, wild woman curly thing today. I'm probably the only one who appreciates it so consider yourself lucky.

This past weekend, I went to see Twilight: Breaking Dawn. Holy moly. Just... Holy. Moly.

I saw this on pinterest & thought it was pretty cool. I'm not going to make a bunch of resolutions for 2012 but if I were I hope it would look like this:
